Advice for maintenance
- Spark plugs need to be periodically cleaned, which is made according to the intensity of the auto operation. If a car is often used, the spark plugs need to be cleaned every 6-7k miles. But usually, I recommend to clean them twice a year (before winter and summer).
- Spark plugs are not cleaned with a stick, screwdriver, or other sharp objects that could damage the insulator candles. The best option is a brush made of thin steel wire.
- The optimal solution is considered to be a chemical method for cleaning spark plugs. First, the spark plug is degreased with gasoline and dried. Then immersed in a hot aqueous solution of ammonium acetate (20%) and left for 25-30 minutes (the temperature at least 194 Β°F). After all cleaned with a capron brush, bathed with hot water, and dried again.
- Do chemical cleaning on the street or in a well-ventilated room, as acetic acid is released when the solution is boiled.

Advice for choice
- Look at the spark plug: if you find unclear and sloppy markings, low-quality treatment of parts of the product or poor assembly (e.g., curved lateral electrode), return the purchase. Another indicator of counterfeit is the low price of a well-known brand candle. The brand candle usually has its own quality features. Ask the seller for a certificate of confirming the quality of the item.
